DIY JEWELLED BRALET

I was casually browsing Topshop's website and came across THE MOST AMAZING bralet i'd ever seen...

Covered in jeweles front to back I just had to have it! The only problem was that it was out of stock online and I couldn't find it when I went down town :( After being upset for a while I decided to make my own!
:)

I started off by searching for a bralet, i went on eBay and found a plain black one with elasticated sides, which i thought would be perfect.

After buying my bralet, i went in search of some jeweles. I first tried the market and got 60 teardop clear ones for £6.00. I decided to go online and buy them in bulk for cheaper. I went on eBay again and found the cheapest ones were from china so got differnt jewels but all within the same colour scheme of pinks, purples and reds.

My jewels arrived  a lot quicker than expected so i could get started on sewing them all on :D

I decided to follow a similar design to the Topshop bralet, starting on the straps. I used the big squares, the rectangle and the long oval ones. It took me SIX AND A HALF HOURS just to do the straps... not entirely sure how haha i guess i was trying to line them up as neat as possible :)

I spent 2 and a half hours getting started on the front & back.

I sewed the jems on in order, the purple triangles, the red hearts, the pink rectangles etc so i could space them out evenly, i spent 2 hours 15 minutes on the main front section

Another 2 hours and the front was nearly done

Another 2 hours 45 minutes and the front was finished!

The back didn't take me as long, probably becuase i'd already decided which jems to use and how to set it out, it still took 3 hours though :/

Overall it took 19 hours to complete!!!!
I was going to do the front side pannels too, but decided against it as it took so long, I seriously didn't expect it to take that long to sew them all on, it was ridiculous!
I should have just found one and bought it haha but i'm very pleased with how it has turned out though :)
