Another new bag! Furla Candy Bags came out ages ago but I was on my phone in bed after I'd finished work and I saw this picture...

Words cannot describe how much I am in love with this outfit! This is the reason why I love winter so much, and all things black. After seeing this I went on to look at Candy bags and ended up getting the same red one, my impulse buying is terrible haha

SUNSETS

Furla also do some sunset Candy Bags and I fell in love with the Blue / Purple one...

How nice is this bag? They also fo them in 3 other colours...

I thought these were so cute and summery! The only thing I didn't like was how transpaerant they are. The red one I have is more transluscent and you can't see through it that much, which I prefered as I wouldn't like people to see what it is my bag and how messy it is inside haha! I think I will keep the dustbag inside it and put my things in there if you can blatenlty see what's in there.

The bag is made out of thick, soft plastic and holds its shape very well. The plastic has been put through stringent tests to ensure that it doesn't contain any harmful substances that are damaging to your health. I would have never thought about this when buying a bag for myself as i'm not exactlty going to be chewing it or anything but this is definealy reassuring if you're allowing your bag to be near babies and small children. It's also a big reason why you should avaoid the fake ones.

The only bad thing I have to say about this bag is the amount of fingerprints and smudges it gets all over it, it's an absolute nightmear as I keep having to wipe it down with my sleeve haha

I've been meaning to post a look with my fabulous Topshop paisley playsuit ever since I bought it, so here it is! I wore blue accessories with it for a summery kind of look and thought it complimented the oranges. The jumpsuit is quite thick as it's fully lined, and it's also a size too small for me, so I wouldn't be able to wear it on a really hot day as it's too thick and tight for that haha

Also, just a quick reminder to say that if you are following me on Bloglovin', please follow my main account which is this one here, thanks!

DIY BLEACHED, FRAYED, STUDDED SHORTS

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

I made these shorts a while ago out of an old pair of jeans. I didn't like the bottom of them so I decided to fray them. I did do a post on how I bleached and studded them, but I'll repost that here too so you have the full tutorial.

This is great idea if you want to revive an old pair of unused jeans!
:D

Bleaching

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

As you can see, my jeans were quite a dark colour so I went about bleaching them. I'm not sure what was wrong with this denim, but it WOULD NOT BLEACH!
I used a mixture of thick bleach and water, I left them to soak for over 6 hours and they didn't change colour at all...

I had to get more bleach and I found Tesco's own brand thin bleach, £0.29 for a 2 litler bottle so got that!
I used the bleach neat and left it on my shorts and it finally started working...

I still had to wait a long time for them to bleach, about another 6 hours but it was worth the wait...

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

As you can see, they are significantly lighter than what they were...

Studding

All I needed to do then was to stud them! Luckily for me ,I already had some leftover studs from previous projects so I didn't have to spend any money on them :D

FRAYING

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

The first thing you need to do cut them, (you couldn't see the cut lines I had drawn on so I edited them on so you understand what I mean lol)
The red line is where you should cut, and the green line is where you should start fraying them. The gap in the middle is how long your frayed edges will be, so make it as long / short as you like. I would say make it bigger as if you want the frayed edges to be shorter, you can always trim them later.

I used a 'Quick Unpick' to fray them. It took forever and made a right mess haha

I frayed them all the way around, then they were done!

TOP TIP

If you accidently cut your shorts too short, accidently cut off some of the frayed edges or simply want the frayed edged thickening up, you can do this...

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

Take a spare piece of denim that you've just cut off and fray the edge of it...

Sammi Jackson - DIY Bleached, Studded, Frayed Shorts

Turn your shorts inside out then glue the fabric onto the inside. It's a better idea to use glue as if you sew it on, you will see the stiches on the outside.

All you need to do now is trim the edges to blend the two layers together and there you go, one pair of bleached, studded, frayed denim shorts!
:D

If you have a go at this and do a blog post on it, leave me the link in a comment below as I'd love to check it out!

Another present for me, a Michael Kors bag!
I wanted a new, big, black bag for when I go back to Uni so this will be perfect as it will easily fit everthing inside it!
:)
I did want one of the multifunctional ones with the inside compartments, but I couldn't find it anywhere in the UK or on any website that ships to the UK. The Michael Kors online store only ships to the US for now.
Anyway there isn't much difference, I just wanted an inside compartment to keep everything organised as my bags are normally really messy haha my big Louis Vuitton bag that I use all the time is the same shape as this bag with one open compartment and it is a right mess. There are 101910911091 bobby pins in there, empty crisp packets, a cream egg got squashed in there the other day, general fluff, pork scratching remnents... I should probably empy it at some point lol

My new Jeffrey Campbell shoes courtesy of my amazing boyfriend! :)
We've been together a whole year now! It's not long I know, but I seriously couldn't be happier :) We went out for a lovely meal at our favourite Indian restaurant and we did agree not to buy eachother presents, but I got him some so he bought me these and I have something else on its way ;)
I wasn't sure which size to get in these shoes. He asked me which size to get before he bought them as he wanted to make sure they would fit. Most of my JC's are US size 7.5, then I have a UK size 4.5, 5 and 6 so there is a lot of variation in the sizes :/
I read a review on the Skulltini's saying you should buy a size smaller as they're leather so they will stretch, so with that in mind I decided to get a size UK 4 when i'm usually a 5. Also, the 4's were on sale whereas the 5's were full priced, I didn't want my boyfriend to spend too much on me ha :)
I ended up getting the 4's and they fit perfectly. I wore them out that night and they were fine, they were a little tight but I assumed that was just because they were new. When I took them off at the end of the night my toes had rubbed a little but not too much. The next day I wore them with big socks, just around the house, in order to stretch them out a little but that was a big mistake as I now have massive blisters on my heels :(
I'm hoping they've stretched a bit and my bliters have gone down for tomorrow as Monday is date night and I want to wear them!
